Parent & Carer Coaching
My coaching approach is therapeutic, supportive, and capacity-focused, rather than behaviour-management based. The aim is to empower caregivers with practical tools, insight, and strategies they can use confidently in everyday life.
Coaching is tailored to each child and family’s unique context and aligned with the participant’s NDIS goals. Sessions focus on strengthening emotional understanding, improving connection and communication within the family, and supporting children to grow in confidence, independence, and emotional resilience.
Therapeutic and Capacity-Building Focus
I work alongside parents and caregivers to build their confidence, understanding, and skills in supporting their child’s emotional wellbeing, daily functioning, and overall development.

Parent and carer coaching may include:

-
Psychoeducation to support understanding of emotional regulation, stress responses, and developmental needs
-
Practical strategies to support emotional wellbeing, daily routines, and independence
-
Modelling and guided practice to help caregivers feel confident using new strategies
-
Support to strengthen communication and connection between caregivers and children
-
Guidance around co-regulation, emotional support, and creating a calm and supportive home environment
-
Collaborative problem-solving of everyday challenges using a strengths-based approach
-
Emotional support and validation for caregivers navigating complex family and care demands
Support is provided in a respectful, non-judgemental way and delivered at a pace that feels safe and manageable for families. My focus is on building long-term capacity so caregivers feel confident supporting their child both now and into the future.
