Support for Teenagers

My supports are youth-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with a strong focus on rebuilding confidence, emotional resilience, and independence over time.

Sessions offer a safe and supportive space where teenagers can explore their experiences, develop insight into their emotions and behaviours, and build practical skills to manage daily challenges. Using evidence-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement strategies, and psychoeducation, I support young people to reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen coping strategies.

Mental Health and Community Access

I provide specialised therapeutic and capacity-building support for teenagers who are disengaged or experiencing anxiety, low motivation, emotional distress, or other mental health challenges that impact their ability to participate in school, social relationships, and community life.

Support focuses on helping teenagers to:

  • Build confidence, emotional awareness, and regulation skills

  • Reduce anxiety and unhelpful thinking patterns using CBT-based strategies

  • Improve motivation, self-belief, and goal-setting capacity

  • Strengthen resilience and the ability to manage stress, setbacks, and change

  • Develop communication, social interaction, and community participation skills

  • Gradually and safely re-engage in meaningful activities such as school attendance, training, employment pathways, volunteering, and social or recreational interests

Through structured skill-building, strengths-based coaching, and consistent therapeutic support, I support teenagers to progress at their own pace and achieve sustainable improvements in wellbeing, engagement, and independence. My focus is on helping each young person rediscover their strengths, rebuild connection to their environment, and develop the confidence to take meaningful steps forward in their life.
